Rehab Outreach And Recovery (R.O.A.R.) is an advocate for a safe and healthy living environment for families living in the Gateway District (serving Scotland, Robeson, Richmond and Hoke counties). ROAR seeks to combat community deterioration by helping to rehabilitate substandard homes in blighted neighborhoods and guard them against future deterioration. Income and health of the applicant are the two major criteria in qualifying for the program.
R.O.A.R. helps to eliminate poverty by relieving its symptoms. These programs address housing issues that make homes unsafe for residence who are elderly, handicapped, or disabled. The ministry is maintained through the help of our Mission Teams. Please visit our Mission Team page to learn more!
As of this posting, there are 8 families waiting for assistance with their homes. We have the funding, we just don’t have the hands and feet to get it done.
Repairs are not cosmetic, they are necessary!
