Set aside Saturday May 14th to spend a day with brothers and sister throughout the Conference as we explore what it means for the Church to be a “House of Prayer for all people” (Matthew 21:13), and how we build our churches into Houses of Prayer. Our special guest for the day will be the Rev. Dr. Terry Teykl, who will introduce us to his book, and lead us in understanding what it means to be a place and a people of prayer. Topics will include:
Biblical Basis for Prayer – Divine Strongholds – Biblical Basis for Worship –
Acts 29 Prayer Models – Presence Evangelism – Masterpiece Revival –
The Presence Based Church – Mobilizing to Pray
The Beacon District Prayer Team is encouraging each church to study this book together and to prayerfully consider the formation of a Prayer Team in each congregation, if you do not already have such a team in place.
“Prayer in the book of Acts literally shook the walls of the jail where Paul and Silas were imprisoned. Why shouldn’t we see those same kind of results today? To see prayer shake the walls of our cities and impact our communities here and now in this generation, we need a plan-a blueprint for a house of prayer in which God will come and dwell. We want to establish a pattern of his Presence in our churches and in our neighborhoods, but he will not come where he is not worshipped and welcomed. To experience his Presence as a stronghold of divine results, we must also encounter him. Through strategic, inspired worship and prayer, we can invite him to unleash all that he is in us and through us.” Terry Teykl
The registration fee is $20.00 per person and includes a copy of the book and lunch. It you already have the book the fee is $10.00 per person and includes lunch.
