Minister Roger Velasquez will share with us the cultures, traditions, values and faith of the Latin American countries. As Christians what a privilege it is to get to know the heart of God and reflect it in the world; what better way to learn a bit more about our Savior than to attend this Capital District Mission Study. We look forward to seeing you at the study.
This is a Geographical Study of Latin America: People and Faith
The study is an overview of the richness of Latin America and its people on the North American continent. The study examines the history of the region from pre-Colombian times until colonization and the struggle for independence. It also explores the current challenges of the nations, along with their rich art, culture and the ongoing contributions of women. The role of religion is woven throughout the pages and will help the reader understand how Latin America has been influenced by various religions and faith traditions. Photos by missionary Paul Jeffrey offer a glimpse of the work of The United Methodist Church in the region. 128 pp.
The United Methodist Women of North Raleigh UMC want to plan a wonderful experience for you. Please RSVP Roxie Lee Floyd at firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend.
