Bless This Child will meet Monday, May 16, 4-6 pm, at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, 1201 Maxwell Drive, Raleigh, NC for their monthly organizational and pattern cutting meeting.
Bless This Child is an ecumenical, multi church sewing mission that provides clothes to children in third-world countries. Anyone with an interest in sewing and missions is welcome and encouraged to join this group. Outfits are sent around the world via missionaries from local churches and organizations. This mission/ministry was brought to Saint Andrews UMC by Nancy Cope in 2012.
To date, they have produced more than 1,601 outfits that have been sent to 12 different countries and three US mission sites. Overseas: Haiti, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, Bolivia, Puerto Rico, Honduras, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Belize, Kenya. Here in US: Appalachian Service Project; Mercy Center in Goldsboro, NC; Nora, VA.
